# Data contract check APIs

## Table Column Contract Drift API

Compare two declared table column contracts before releasing a schema change. Provide up to 128 ordered columns per contract. Names are unique and case-sensitive, and types are chosen from seven logical types. Both profiles flag removals, any type change and newly nullable columns as incompatible. Named consumers may ignore added columns and order changes. Positional consumers require the same columns in the same order. Column positions in the result are zero-based. The result describes the supplied contracts and selected policy. It does not inspect a database, infer renames or certify SQL or downstream compatibility. Use authorized, non-sensitive data. The report describes supplied records and does not change external systems.

## Dataset Partition Arrival Preflight API

Reconcile expected dataset partitions against recorded arrivals at a supplied cutoff. Supply up to 128 unique expected partitions and 256 observations, with canonical UTC timestamps including milliseconds. Observations after the cutoff are rejected. The earliest observed receipt determines whether a partition was on time, including a receipt exactly at its deadline. An absent partition becomes overdue only after its deadline. The result also lists unexpected and repeated partition IDs. Only supplied records are evaluated. No dataset access, delivery monitoring or inferred schedule. Use authorized, non-sensitive data. The report describes supplied records and does not change external systems.
